Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is a campus counseling center that strives every day to meet the needs of our community. It provides services designed to help students reach a balanced university experience. We do our best to ensure that students’ needs are met, through a CAPS group, individual counseling, or a referral to another resource.

CAPS services include:

  • Brief counseling for individuals, couples and groups
  • Crisis walk-in availability
  • Psychiatric evaluations and medication monitoring
  • Consultation for students, faculty, staff, and parents
  • Outreach and educational events and workshops
  • Mitalk, an interactive web site designed especially for students
  • QPR Suicide Prevention Program
  • Do something campaign for student mental health awareness
  • Campus crisis response team
  • Assistance with referrals to other campus and community resources
